OROBIANCO
OROBIANCO GROUP THE COMPANY Orobianco was established in Gallarate in 1996: the idea was to set up a fashion Company which would cover the entire product cycle from design to manufacturing. THE NAME OROBIANCO In 1995, Giacomo Valentini, who would later become President and CEO of the Group, was on a trip to Tibet and felt that something was about to change in his life. The time had come for him to make a decision, start everything from scratch and fully engage himself in a project he had long thought and dreamed of. Back to Italy, Giacomo Valentini registered the Orobianco trademark - Orobianco (i.e. white gold) is the word the Tibetans use for Cashmere, their most precious resource. A year later, he founded a Company under this name. Orobianco: a noble, simple and clear name which was to stand for quality and research. THE FIRST SLOGAN The first slogan used by Orobianco to present itself to the entire world was: “Beautiful but clever Italian fashion”: a highly effective and impressive slogan which – even if in the shade – is still one of the Company’s main business concepts.
